Hi, I am Cynthia- a Nutritional Consultant, Life-Style Coach and certified Reflexologist. My company is called Metamorphosis and I've been in private practice for over ten years. I believe "We are what we eat!" Everything we taste, smell, see, touch, feel, and even think directly impacts our health, our attitudes, and our ability to live an extraordinary life.
What exactly do I do? For starters: I am a Holistic Practitioner. Holistic simply means Whole. I look at the whole person. I believe we are made up of three components: body, mind and spirit. When one or more of these components are off balance, it begins to manifest and we suffer from sickness, depression, fatigue, muscle aches and pains, weight loss/weight gain, obesity, dependence on substances like drugs or alcohol, and even allergies. I teach others to nourish the body, mind and spirit to create balance. Balance is the key to living a successful, happy, healthy life. It starts with the food we eat, but that's not where it ends. When we become aware of how, when and why we eat and begin to fine-tune our eating habits; other amazing changes begin to occur. Our attitudes improve. We feel better, look better. Our outlook on life becomes clearer than ever before. We are ready to take on life and LIVE it! We experience a TRUE METAMORPHOSIS!
I am a REAL FOOD advocate, a food philosopher (I study what people eat and why) and a walking testimony of the benefits of a healthy, holistic lifestyle. I am completely convinced that the food we eat directly impacts our health and sense of well-being because it worked for me. I am a Vegan. I do not eat animal products of any kind, however, it is not my mission to convert everyone to my particular way of eating. Everyone is unique. I take into account each person's individual needs, concerns and lifestyle while trying to create the perfect balance.
My own personal experience inspired me to receive the proper training to teach and help others. I earned my degree and certification from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I am also a certified Reflexologist and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I work with both men and women--helping them to heal their unhealthy relationships with food so they achieve their goals and enjoy happy, fulfilling, balanced lives. I have had the privilege of working with cancer survivors, diabetics, recovering drug addicts and alcoholics, and those who have finally had enough of the diet roller coaster ride.
I am a bit of a work-a-holic, always on the hunt for the latest and greatest info on food, health and healing. I work with clients in person, over the phone, and via Internet. I post two daily blogs: one is a health and wellness blog that covers everything from nutritional tips to dating advice and the other is chock full of delicious Vegan and Vegetarian recipes. When I am not busy meeting with clients or working on my novel, I am cooking up delicious vegetarian feasts for friends and family, shoe shopping, practicing yoga, dancing, or just chilling at home with my little cat, P'aqu.
